Christmas decoration and preparation

8 december 2019 - Chiclana de la Frontera, Spanje

¡Hola gente!

Last week I had a Christmas lunch with the collegues, it turned out to be a party eventually but I had so, so much fun! Couldn’t wish for any other collegues. But that’s something to talk about in real life instead of blogging about it, lol.

But it's almost Christmas so that means also almost the time to go home, can't say I'm too happy about it. But we made some nice Christmas decorations to sell in our shop and at the market. Although I really don't like Christmas, it was nice to do. This week was the week of the disabled people for us so we did very nice things this week.

On Tuesday we were standing on a square with the clients to sell our Christmas decorations. The clients were very happy to be out of the school today and because they could help to sell there creations. There was even a camera crew to interview the boss and some of the clients. As It was the international day of disabled people, it even came on tv. Also the dance we made was filmed and a lot of people watched my clients dance. It was such a good feeling to see how much fun they had and how happy they were. We sold a lot that day and people were very kind to us so that made it a good day.

On Wednesday we had a day of sports, and I was not looking forward to it because I don’t like sports that much. We had to go to a pavilion with all of our clients. We were set in groups with another school, but it was high school. The activities were different but fun and some of our clients were the leaders of an activity. You could see that they clients had fun and really did their best to win.

Then on Thursday we stayed at our school and in the afternoon an animation team from students came. They prepared a day full of activities and joy. Almost all of them were dressed up like elves or something else that was related to Christmas. The clients were again put into groups with at least one of the students. It was such a good day with good weather so we could also do some of the activities outside. Every activity was done by each group during the day. The clients seemed very happy and that made me happy too. It was a good but exhausting week. The clients had fun, my colleagues had fun and me too.

This weekend has been longer because on Friday and tomorrow I’m off as well. So on Friday I went to Jerez de la Frontera, or the city of wine as they call it here. It is such a beautiful city and it was 18 degrees so you could imagine me being happy about that. I went to the Cathedral and I think that one is the most beautiful I’ve seen here in Spain. I’ve such a therapeutic day with myself. Also it was the first time I had to go by train, that wasn’t that funny. But thanks to my Spanish, everything was going alright.

Yesterday I went to Cádiz again, mostly because I really wanted to eat a frikandel speciaal. I can honestly say I really enjoyed it lol. But also because it’s such an ancient but pretty city. It was time to say goodbye to that. Again I had a day with 18 something degrees so I can’t complain. I don’t want to go back home where it’s cold so I gotta enjoy these last two weeks here.

Today is going to be a resting, laundry, homework day but enjoying it with again 18 degrees. So enough typing for now, see you another time.

¡Hasta luego!
